The Parisienne Basket bag in Black is a classic market basket, handwoven using locally sourced palm leaf and dyed natural leather. This generous shopping basket is ideal for farmers markets, shopping or as a stylish home storage basket.

Widely known as wicker baskets or straw baskets, the shopping bags are in fact woven using locally sourced natural palm leaf. Moroccan basket bags are woven by hand using time-honoured techniques and from sustainably gathered materials. The functional palm leaf tote shoppers and storage baskets are handwoven in rural villages in the north of Morocco and the region around Marrakech. 

Embrace slow living and fill your straw basket as you stroll from french market stalls to beach bar with the Parisienne shopping bag.

Please note | The palm leaf baskets are handwoven in the round and feature a 'step' on the rim where they are tied and finished. This is intentional and not a flaw, but rather a part of the design.
