What drove you to start Mini Rodini?
I have always been surrounded by creativity, and grew up in a family surrounded by painters, actors, and filmmakers.
I started my early career in my twenties by working as an fashion illustrator with clients such as Vogue, Elle and Nylon. When my first son was born, I couldn't find anything for him to wear. It was all flames and cars for boys and pink princess stuff for girls produced in conventional materials back then.
I started Mini Rodini in 2006 from my vision to make clothes that kids love to wear without compromising on environmental and social aspects of production.
Do you have a mood board for your favourite children’s bedroom?
I have been trying to get quality vintage furniture for my kids, not necessarily for kids, but things they can bring with them if they want when they get older.
I think lighting is extremely important and then fabrics. Books are important too.
My daughter has a lot of Mini Rodini strawberries, both pajamas, bedding and the strawberry fleece blanket.
What serves as your inspiration, and how do you approach working on homeware items rather than on clothing?
My process is very intuitive and not so easy to explain. But I'm nerdy and get deep into various things that eventually end up in my work - some way or another. However my approach to homewear is actually quite straight forward. I do things I want at home, produced in high quality and made in sustainable materials without hazardous chemicals.

What does the word Flâneur mean to you?
Just enjoying drifting around. I need a little bit more of Flâneuring in my life!
What is your vision for 2024?
Personally, I want to spend more time in nature and in my bed reading.
As for Mini Rodini I'm excited about projects and products that makes a difference and that
contributes to something better.
