Meet Sveva Clavarino from Sveva's Home

Based in London yet steeped in the essence of her Italian roots, Sveva Clavarino birthed Sveva's Home amidst a pivotal life transition. Discover the fusion of cultures, passions, and personal evolution as we bring you on into her inspirational journey, and her passion projects.

What drove you to create Sveva's Home?

Homeware has always been one of my biggest passions! I love interior design in restaurants, hotels, but most of all in countryside and mountain homes. At the same time, tableware has always been my way of expressing beauty while dining with friends and family, trying to always make lunch and dinner a special time of the day for everyone in the house.

Sveva’s Home was born with the idea of creating something unique from my hometown, bringing back the beauty of craftsmanship and showing to my community the impeccable work of our hard working artisans.

I created simple yet elegant and colourful plates that vary in different collections to allow to everyone a chance to dine in colour, bringing warmth and happiness to their dining tables. Every product is completely handmade and hand-painted in Italy in the Liguria Region, 30 minute drive from the beautiful Portofino.

Every plate, bowl, tray, serving platter, mug can personalised according to one’s favourite colour, pattern and writing.

Could you tell us a little bit about The Wellness Reporter?

The COVID19 pandemic had just happened and I had a feeling that situation would last a long time. I knew I had to use my time wisely to make the best out of it and to make sure that my mental health would have stayed the most positive and stable as possible.

At the time, I had left my job in the fashion industry, and I was looking for an interesting position elsewhere. I knew the fashion world was not where I truly belonged and so, I started thinking of what I could have developed and worked on, to make sure that I was truly loving what I was doing, everyday.

I immediately thought about the wellness world: the world’s most beautiful spas, re-charging holistic hotels worldwide, and thought about how I would have loved to contribute to making the world a better place, decreasing depression rates and enriching people lives from a mental and physical point of view.

I believe, life is about determination, imagination, creativity, endurance but also about timing… and the pandemic made me realise that there was no better timing. So I started my platform where I instantly offered my community a variety of services such as our daily wellness articles, a highly-curated selection of wellness oriented products, varying from: natural skincare, sustainable activewear, personal training session, gut health coaching, medical wellness consultation support.

After two years, we added the travel concierge department… and here we are! Growing everyday more and more, operating worldwide having as our current biggest market the: United States, United Kingdom, Italy and the Emirates.

Places that inspire Sveva

Three things you love about London?

I love The Italians, which is my go to lunch and aperitivo spot in London. The place is small, but incredibly cosy with an exceptional attention to detail to every corner of the store. They have a vast collection of amazing Italian wines best Italian cold cuts, cheeses, lasagna and bread! Whenever I’m having a very busy or low day, the Italians will instantly uplift my mood.

I love Chiltren street, as it is so beautiful and it has so many lovely shops and coffee places. My favorite one is Airmail, where I love to get a long Americano coffee and grab a daily newspaper or fashion magazine.

I love Regents park. It makes me feel very lucky and grateful to be in nature, allowing me to calm down and enjoy the beauty of birds, lakes, trees, and sometimes sun while the city of dreams never stops!

What does the word Flâneur mean to you?

To me Flaneur means to bloom! It’s a beautiful world that inspires me to want to do more and to explore more!

What is your vision for 2024?

We have so many new exciting upcoming projects and ideas for our about to launch limited edition collections for Sveva’s Home. We see our business expanding even more in 2024, and cannot wait to launch our capsule collection for the Salone Del Mobile in April that will be featured in a beautiful showroom in the historical centre of Milan.

On the other hand, The Wellness Reporter is about to turn 4 years old in September! This is a big satisfaction for us, as we have seen the business grow and expand at a very fast and successful speed. We are planning to do a lot of retreats in the upcoming year in new unique locations. At the same time, we are also constantly enriching our tailor-made travel concierge offerings. more, in order to offer to our clientele, a one-of-kind and lifetime experience service all year round.
