Home Interior Trends 2025
Design in 2025 is turning up the volume, shaking off the safe and predictable in favor of bold, character-filled spaces. This year, it’s all about embracing curves, diving headfirst into color, and letting your home tell a story that’s uniquely yours. Here’s what’s making waves.

Curved Furniture
Softening the Edges
Sharp lines? Not this year. Curved furniture is stealing the spotlight, making spaces feel more fluid and inviting. It’s like a big design hug—whether it’s a wavy bench or a looped mirror. Rounded edges remind us that comfort and style go hand in hand.
Louise Roe, founder of Sharland England, loves the flowing lines. "The idea of curved furniture is welcoming and informal. I began designing rattan pieces with this in mind- the way the weave billows is romantic and nostalgic.
I love styling these pieces with coffee table books, and often next to vintage artwork, which brings in the mix of straight lines. The mix of warm colours and textures is a gorgeous, maximalist way to decorate, that I love."
Decor Tip: Start small by introducing a curved side table or mirror to test how this trend fits your existing space. Pair curved furniture with softer textiles like velvet or boucle for a cohesive, inviting look.

Head To Toe
Colour Drenching
One colour, everywhere. Walls, ceilings, furniture—when a single hue takes over, the result is dramatic and oh-so-satisfying. It’s immersive, it’s bold, and in 2025, it’s the ultimate power move for anyone ready to make a statement.
Practical Tip: Choose a shade that matches the mood of the room—calming hues for bedrooms or energising colours for living areas. Experiment with painted furniture to extend the drench effect beyond walls.
Trending Colours
The Colour Palette
Warm colour palettes are making a big return, replacing cool tones with rich, cosy hues like terracotta, mustard, and deep peach. These shades create an inviting atmosphere, perfect for spaces designed to make you feel at home.
Another trending colour is yellow, which is brightening up kitchens with shades from soft buttercream to bold marigold. Deep reds, such as oxblood, are also gaining popularity, offering a dramatic, sultry touch to interiors—think velvet sofas or accent walls.
Chocolate brown, the neutral of the moment, brings earthy, grounding vibes to any space, pairing effortlessly with creamy whites or metallics for a chic and timeless look. Finally, seafoam green offers a cool, calming effect, reminiscent of nature, and adds a peaceful yet fresh feel to your home decor.
Decor Tip: Incorporate these shades with easily swapped-out elements like throw pillows, rugs, or curtains. Layering these colours in different textures creates depth without overwhelming the space. Add a splash of yellow with cabinetry paint, or keep it simple with vibrant accessories like tea towels, ceramic bowls, or pendant lights.
Playful Sophistication
Post-Modernist Furniture
Furniture gets funky in 2025. Sculptural chairs, chunky tables, and shapes that make you smile—post-modernism is having a moment, proving that design doesn’t always have to take itself so seriously.
Diana Popescu, founder of Break The Mould Magasin, 'As a curator of one-of-a-kind vintage pieces, postmodernist design is right up my alley. It’s a celebration of the unexpected—bold, playful colors, eclectic patterns, and shapes that surprise and delight. This aesthetic turns the traditional rules of design on their head, creating spaces that feel personal, dynamic, and full of joy.
In 2025, we’ll see nostalgia take center stage in home decor, and vintage finds are the perfect way to embrace this trend. A carefully chosen bold vintage piece—an unusual abstract vase, a sculptural statuette, or even an oversized fish-shaped serving dish, can instantly breathe new life into a room. Pairing these treasures with contemporary pieces creates a unique, layered look that feels fresh and authentic.
Adding postmodernist elements to your space doesn’t need to be complicated. Start small with a squiggly, hand-forged candle holder, a bold-patterned glass bowl, or whimsical tableware. These accents instantly bring character to a room and invite conversation.
The beauty of postmodernist design is that it encourages you to break the rules and let your personality shine. It’s not just about decorating—it’s about creating a space that makes you smile every time you walk in.'
Glamour Reimagined
Art Deco Revival
Cue the geometric patterns, brass accents, and sleek finishes—Art Deco is back, and it’s as glamorous as ever. Whether it’s a chic serving tray or a statement light fixture, this trend turns everyday spaces into something extraordinary.
From Rach Millband, co-Founder of Tinker & Tallulah, "Glitz, glamour and playful patterns - I can't think of a better trend for us to take into 2025. The beauty of Art Deco is really in its versatility. Think jewel colours, metallic accents and geometric shapes such as chevrons and starbursts; all of which are easily incorporated into our homes.
For those looking to make a statement, lighting is the perfect place to start. At Tinker & Tallulah, our handmade lampshades are inspired by the iconic Roaring Twenties. We use a lot of velvet in rich tones like emerald and navy, plus our flapper-inspired fringing instantly transforms a room into something Jay Gatsby would be proud of!"
Wrapped in Style
Immersive Bedroom Design
Why stop at the walls? This trend wraps bedrooms in wallpaper, fabric, or both, creating cosy cocoons that feel like a dream (literally). It's design you can sink into - no counting sheep required.
Annika Reed, founder of Annika Reed Studio, sat with us and gave us the best tips.
"Wallpapering the ceiling, especially in eaves rooms, offers a unique opportunity to create an immersive experience by wrapping all five walls in pattern. The slanted angles of the ceiling in these spaces are ideal for this technique, enveloping the room and adding an unexpected element of surprise and luxury. It’s a perfect way to turn the often overlooked ceiling into a stunning focal point.
When mixing patterns, the key is to play with scale. Start with a statement piece, whether it's a bold wallpaper or a striking fabric and allow it to take center stage. Then, layer in complementary patterns that enhance the first without competing with it. The trick is in the scale and colour: pairing larger, bolder patterns with smaller, more subtle ones helps to maintain harmony."
Decor Tip: Select a wallpaper with a calming pattern for an all-encompassing feel. Coordinate bedding and drapery to enhance the sense of unity and luxury.

Green is the New Black
Sustainability and Upcycling
Eco-friendly is no longer a buzzword; it’s a way of life. Upcycled furniture, local materials, and a whole lot of character—it’s proof that sustainability and style go hand in hand.
Pinky Laing, Founder of Remnant Revolution, gives us a peek at sustainable practices, "At Remnant Revolution, we believe that the first steps of implementing sustainability on a bigger scale begin with looking at the business as a whole and having full transparency of all aspects of our supply chain, from sourcing fabric to the end consumer. Our remnant fabrics are sourced from the UK, otherwise destined for landfill, and every scrap is used, making us fully circular too.
If you commit to sustainability and reporting, every step must honour the statement. We use no plastic in our supply chain, ensuring that even the shipping label pouches and the sticker on our tissue wrapping paper are entirely free of plastic composition.
Scaling sustainability practices means sourcing and partnering with suppliers that can scale with you".
Decor Tip: Shop local flea markets or online marketplaces for unique, vintage finds that align with your style. Reupholster or paint old furniture for a refreshed look while staying sustainable.
Mix & Match
Mixed Metals in Bathrooms
Bathrooms are breaking the matchy-matchy rules by mixing metals—copper, brass, and even a little aluminum. The result? Spaces that shine (literally) with personality.
Decor Tip: Combine two metal finishes in one space—copper for warmth and chrome for modernity. Keep the rest of the design neutral to let the metals shine
.
Define the Line
Room Dividers as Art
Who says room dividers have to be boring? This year, they’re stealing the spotlight as both functional and stylish statement pieces, redefining open-plan living. From bold geometric patterns to textured materials like wood, metal, or rattan, dividers are now as decorative as they are practical. They’re perfect for creating cosy nooks, private workspaces, or simply adding visual interest without compromising space flow. Customisable designs allow for personalisation, making it easy to match any decor style. Whether you choose a modern screen, vintage panel, or a lush green plant wall, room dividers are elevating interiors with function and flair.
Make a Statement
Château Core
2025 sees a return to opulent living with Château Core, a trend inspired by the romance of French castles. Think ornate mirrors, gilded accents, and tapestries paired with rustic textures like distressed wood and aged stone. This style balances grandeur with coziness, inviting you to live like modern-day royalty in your own home.
With this trend, stone takes center stage in 2025 with bold, luxurious materials like marble and onyx transforming interiors. Whether as furniture or decor, these natural elements bring an earthy sophistication to every corner.
Decor Tip: Blend ornate details like gilded mirrors with rustic accents like weathered wood furniture. This balance keeps the look luxurious without feeling overly formal.
From Japan
Wabi-Sabi
Celebrate the cracks, the rough edges, and the raw beauty of it all. Wabi-Sabi invites us to embrace imperfection and focus on what truly matters—a little simplicity, a lot of soul.
Gracie Yan, founder of Cerani Studio, says "The concept of Wabi-sabi in Japanese culture has significantly influenced the uniqueness of ceramic tableware, where the beauty lies in the 'imperfections' that emerge from craftsmanship. For instance, subtle variations in color or the irregular shapes of petals contribute to a piece's individuality, without compromising its quality. This sense of imperfection means each item is one-of-a-kind, adding a special touch to your home. In this way, Wabi-sabi offers a deeper beauty for homeware, making your living space not only functional but truly unique.
One of my favorite examples of Wabi-sabi is the rustic ceramics created by Shōji Hamada, a renowned Japanese potter. Known for his unglazed surfaces and the unpredictable effects of the kiln, Hamada's work celebrates the natural imperfections of the materials. Similarly, the Japanese art of Ikebana—flower arrangement—embodies Wabi-sabi through its emphasis on asymmetry, simplicity, and the fleeting nature of life. Each arrangement reflects the beauty found in the natural transience of flowers, making it an ever-evolving expression of imperfection."
Decor Tip: Incorporate handmade ceramics or textiles with slight imperfections to add character and authenticity. Focus on simplicity and let natural materials take centre stage.
