Pleated Top

Maximum pole width - 120cm

Maximum curtain drop - 120cm

Available in fabrics - elderfield, netto, hanbury, hanbury laundered

The pleated style is fitted with hooks and hangs on rings below the pole.

Considerations

This style has slightly more gather and fullness than the pocket top option, but is easier to sweep to the side should you need.

The additional fabric, complexities in the design and addition of rings make it a slightly more expensive option.

Pocket Top

Maximum pole width - 120cm

Maximum curtain drop - 120cm

Available in fabrics - elderfield, netto, hanbury, hanbury laundered

Our pocket top style has a simple aesthetic and, as standard, a minimal amount of gather with the aim of creating an unfussy classic aesthetic.

The pocket top will fit poles up to a max diameter of 16mm as standard.

Available for pole widths of up to 120cm.
Available in drops of up to 250cm.

Considerations

A simpler design and lesser fabric quantity makes for a more budget friendly option.

Double Pocket

Maximum pole width - 100cm

Maximum curtain drop - 250cm

Available in fabrics - elderfield, netto, hanbury, hanbury laundered

The double pocket is attached at the top and the bottom of the curtain, with the pocket which sits over a pole.

Considerations

The double pocket provides the most amount of gather, for a beautifully full look.

The extra gather means this style is available in widths up to 100cm only, making the style is naturally well suited to longer slimmer windows, internal doors and to line the inside of wardrobe and cupboard doors doors.

The fixing of the poles can make it tricky to access window hardware, so should ideally be fitted to the sliding sash part of the window.

The Fabric Guide

Lightweight

Our lightweight fabrics are the most typical and traditional option for cafe curtains. The perfect balance between light and privacy, we have two options available.

Elderfield is our classic lightweight linen. Woven in the UK and available in three creamy shades, Turpentine, a classic off white, Vellum and Cornsilk is our warmest option. Netto has a beautiful open weave. A UK woven linen with a subtle peachy tone.

Textures

Alvingtonis a real showstopper, a UK linen weave with a pretty dobby detail and creamy colour, finished with soft laundered finish.

Mediumweights

Ideal for areas where more privacy is required, our medium weight linen Hanbury is available in a standard finish and a soft laundered finish.

Hanbury has a beautiful array of shades from creamy neutrals to bolder greens and yellows, ensuring there's there's a shade to fit all manor of schemes.

Measuring

Whether you choose to order a classic pocket top, or pleated cafe curtain, the measurements we require are the same.

Width

✓ Simply provide us with the width of the pole or wire (A-B).

✓ As your curtain will always have some gather absolute accuracy is not essential.

✓ We will calculate the gather for you, this ensures the look of all of our curtains is consistent.

Drop

✓ Using the same points (A&B), measure down to the sill (C&D) then subtract 1cm.

✓ Round down to the nearest cm if required. A few mm shorter will have little to no effect on finished look of your curtain.

✓ The drop measurement is the same for pleated and pocket top curtains, we will calculate the necessary adjustments for pleated top curtains)
